About the Author

Jerry Heston, M.D. A graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Dr. Heston attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. He completed residencies in pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). He was on the faculty at UTHSC for many years before establishing Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Associates (CAPA) as a private practice office. Dr. Melissa Hoffmann. Dr. Hoffman is a clinical psychologist specializing in children, adolescents, and families. Dr Hoffmann earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Northern Illinois University in 1998. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
