Reviews
"The Handbook of Electronic Trading is one of those few industry books that won't just sit on the bookshelf. The contributing writers have packed it with real-life studies that speak to the direct concerns of every trader, manager, technologist and operations professional on Wall Street. The editor, Joe Rosen, has organized the thoughts of some of the most respected players in the industry into a coherent tapestry that covers every aspect of electronic trading today."
--Henry Swieca, Managing Partner, Highbridge Capital Management LLC
"World markets have moved irrevocably to electronic execution and we have seen an explosion in electronic trading as a result. Trading costs have plummeted and it's no longer necessary to become a member of a privileged club to compete successfully. However, it is necessary to understand a broader and far more complex landscape of market structures and associated trading technologies to compete successfully in a world when every micro-second matters. Joe Rosen has brought together a compelling set of insights from the leading practitioners to provide a deep understanding of the complex and rapidly evolving new world of pervasive electronic trading."
--Roger Burkhardt, President and CEO, Ingres Corporation EVP and CTO, New York Stock Exchange (2000-2006)
"There couldn't be a better time to publish a book on electronic trading, and I cannot imagine a better editor for the task than Joe Rosen. Joe has brought together some of the keenest minds in the industry and produced a work that examines every facet of electronic trading from multiple perspectives. As Founder and CEO of TradeWeb, arguably the company and marketplace that revolutionized fixed income electronic trading, I am gratified that someone has finally managed to compile such a comprehensive work on one of the most important topics facing the global securities industry today."
--Jim Toffey, Founder and CEO, TradeWeb
