Summary
“Cool Science Matters with Molly Cool and Atom, A – Air” is a children’s book that joins literature with
science education. Molly Cool and Atom are delightful characters that encourage children to learn
about the world around them using their five senses. The book begins with an adventure story. Annie’s
assignment is to find facts about air for a science report. Molly Cool and Atom arrive to help. Children
are interactive with the book as they answer Atom’s questions along the way. Following the story, there
are extension activities and fun facts about air provided for educators and parents to enhance their
child’s learning and reinforce the concepts presented in the story. An alignment key to the National
Science Education Content Standards is included, indicating those addressed in the book. Readers will
also find out how they can receive free assessment and coloring pages that go along with the content of
the story. This is the first in a series of books designed to teach science facts from A to Z. It is intended
for pre-kindergarten through third grade levels and can be used by children, parents, and teachers alike.
