About the Author

Ashwin Rangan currently serves as the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) for MarketShare Partners (MSP), a private-equity backed company based in Los Angeles, CA. MSP is a leading Numerati firm, offering the world’s most advanced decision analytics using econometrics. Prior, he served as GM and CIO for Wal-Mart global.com and as CIO for walmart.com. Before that, he served as CIO at Rockwell/Conexant and as Head of International IT for AST/Samsung. Ashwin has a Masters in Industrial Engineering and Management with an emphasis on IT and Operations Management from NITIE , Bombay, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangalore University, India . He is accredited with both CPIM and CIRM by the American Production and Inventory Control Society. He is accredited with a CSP by the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor. Ashwin is a Certified Corporate Director from the Directors Institute at both UCLA and USC (Marshall).
