Summary

These misfortunes caused a positive, loving, and supportive father to buckle under the unbearable load and fall into a state of despair. The humble, soft-spoken mother courageously took the rein, and led the family up the ladder to the promised destination.
About the Author
Flossie Phelps Allen was raised on a farm in Southeast Texas and is the fourth born of eleven children. She was nurtured by a devoted father and loving mother who instilled in her strong family values and taught her what it means to take charge of her destiny. The principles that she learned early in life prepared her to become the powerful woman that she is. A dedicated nurse for 35 years, Flossie loved caring for her patients and enriching their lives through her nursing skills. Now retired, she enjoys volunteering in the Breast Cancer Network, performing in stage productions, writing and speaking to inspired audiences across the country. Flossie lives in Los Angeles, California with her family.
