Summary
These are times where the general public is increasingly disappointed with and alienated from the body of politics and what it delivers, placing its hopes increasingly in (changing) the head of state, expecting from one individual and his/her party the fundamental changes required by current global realities. This book opens the debate on conceiving the possibility the current system is unable to deliver such change regardless who is in charge and that the world may need a new improved system which would reflect such realities. There is some urgency since the current set of problems is large, serious, and growing in dimension. The book brings the issue down to earth, out of the realm of unreal by showing the current system as a simple set of institutional players and their relationships, which, by its nature, creates the problems it does, so changing the political head changes very little indeed. The book is written for anyone not satisfied with the performance of the existing system and would like to know exactly why the system malfunctions from the point of the public, what alternative system would satisfy public goals and how such a system could come about democratically, quickly, painlessly and profitably. It is casual in tone, but sharp and to the point in its delivery and appeals especially to serious people, who realize mankind is at a serious and decisive juncture. It is equally interesting to people all over he world and does not require technical or professional knowledge, being based on self-evidence, facts, figures, logic, and reason. Each para is vetted to assure professional standards and can be read equally by mothers, students, bureaucrats, technocrats, and people in and out of the system.
